We  get involved with what is important to people with learning disabilities and their family carers across Herefordshire.  

​We are directed by a group of local people with a learning disability who are also our Trustees.

We are affiliated to and work with Royal Mencap Society however we have to find our own funding to pay for the work we do.

We work with self-advocacy groups across the West Midlands.

We work with local voluntary and statutory organisations and are members of Herefordshire's Partnership Board.

Our campaigns:

• we campaigned successfully in Herefordshire for local  concessionary bus passes to be free for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The Companion Pass is also available locally.  We continue to campaign with others for concessionary bus passes to be free all over England.  They are free in Wales and Scotland.  
• we work with police and victim support to keep people safe.  We facilitate the 'safe places' scheme across Herefordshire.
• we hold 'Hear Our Voices' events twice a year - increasing people's voices across Herefordshire.  
• 'changing places toilets': there are now 4 in Hereford.   We are currently working with 2 organisations in Ross-on-Wye to campaign for a toilet in this beautiful market town in south Herefordshire.
• we are planning another Community Games in September 2026.
• we hold gigs to celebrate the 'Stay Up Late' campaign - staying out until at least midnight (not yet achieved sadly).
