Safe Places National Network

Tornado Gloves philosophy is that every company has a part to play in supporting vulnerable people in their community.

To this end Tornado Gloves was the first ever sponsor of the Safe Places National Network.

Established by Dave Bull in 2001, the Company manufacture a highly technological range of industrial hand protection for diverse manufacturing sectors throughout Europe. Many ‘blue-chip’ manufacturing companies benefit from the technology and subsequent health and safety benefits of the Tornado Gloves range.

In 2012 Dave’s son was diagnosed with Autism. Learning and adaptation was key to give Liam every possible level of support. Having gained an understanding of the key issues and needs, Dave was keen to support others in a similar position wherever possible.

When Dave heard about the Safe Places National Network it was obvious to him just how important the work was that the organisation was doing and that having a national support network could benefit so many people; Tornado Gloves immediately became a sponsor.

With the knowledge that all Autistic children or adults could one day have a registered Safe Place to quickly reach in time of need with trained staff ready to support a vulnerable person is such a huge benefit.

Safe Places will become an integral part of any Autistic person's life knowing that support is located in the close proximity.
